Pamela Anderson has been married four times now. Her third and fourth marriages were with Rick Salomon. Whilst their first marriage was annulled after two months, the second was divorced after much drama.
Divorce finalized in April 2015
Pamela Anderson has been married four times to three different men. All her marriages were rather short-lived, however. Her longest marriage was her first, the one to Tommy Lee, father of her two sons. They managed three years.
Her second marriage to Kid Rock began in August 2006 and ended in November that same year. The divorce was finalized early in 2007, however.
She married once again in 2007. This time it was Rick Salomon, who has famously, or perhaps infamously, been married to Elizabeth Daily for five years (she’s the mother of his two daughters), and then for only nine months to Shannen Doherty.
Pamela married Rick in October 2007 in Las Vegas. Only two months later she filed for divorce. However, in February 2008 she decided to file for annulment instead. She cited fraud, which is the most common and least harmful reason one can cite when asking for an annulment. Rick actually filed for annulment as well, but only in March 2008.
The annulment of their brief union was finalized in April 2008.
Interestingly Rick and Pamela have been long-time friends before they tied the knot. And it is said that they eventually returned to being friends after their marriage was annulled.
For some reason the two decided to give their relationship another shot and they were married once more in January 2014. Clearly he was never really out of her life for that to happen.
Unfortunately the second marriage didn’t really fare much better than the first. Pamela filed for divorce only six months after the wedding, though she requested the motion to be dismissed in August.
Again it was to no avail. In February 2015 she filed for divorce once more.
It was then that things became increasingly messy. Rick filed for annulment, suggesting that he didn’t want to have to pay her anything in case of a divorce. He’s a pretty wealthy man.
Both of them flung accusations at each other and their fight became not only ugly, it was also very public. Whilst Rick mostly seemed to resort to name-calling, Pamela accused him of threatening behaviour not just towards herself but her sons as well. She filed for a restraining order, which was eventually granted.
Ultimately the divorce was finalized by the end of April in 2015. Whilst Pam said that she never asked for money, Rick wanted to do the right thing and gave her $1 million. She returned a car that he had gifted her previously, however.
Why their divorce was so bitter and spiteful is not even clear. It’s been said that their lifestyles simply didn’t match up and Rick’s life was not what Pamela wanted. It’s a strange reason given that they’ve been there before and nothing had really changed to make a difference. Yet she married him again anyway.
After the divorce was finalized the two actually issued a public apology. It’s quite remarkable to read it in full: “Public divorces can be harsh and cruel – we apologize to our families and friends for any hurt and embarrassment we have caused – we have come to an amicable agreement and are moving on.
There are private and personal family sensitivities to consider and we retract any hurtful comments made in haste and distaste. We wish each other and our families well.”
Pamela’s friends believe that she will become friends with Rick again eventually, but for the time being she didn’t and still doesn’t want anything to do with him.
Shortly after her messy divorce she spoke on the Ellen DeGeneres Show about the mistakes she’s made regarding her marriage. She was moving on, however, hadn’t given up on marriage just yet, if only for the romantic notion, and would be dating people again in the future.
Thankfully both her sons are old enough not to be overly affected by the split, though the messiness of it probably wasn’t pleasant for the boys. Given her limited success with marriages in the part, perhaps Pam is better off not to get married again.
