Update: 19 April 2014
Reality TV star, Camille Grammer just doesn’t seem to be able to wrap her head around to the fact that her divorce from her husband of thirteen years, Kelsey Grammer is done and over with! Even after her divorce is through, Camille has often used her reality show or the press to dish out private details about her ex-husband.
Camille Grammer was Camille Donatacci, a former Playboy model when she went out on a blind date with the then twice divorced Kelsey Grammer in 1996. They married the next year and went on to have two children through surrogacy, daughter Mason Olivia and son Jude Gordon. It was Camille’s first marriage and Kelsey’s third. But, the marriage soon soured and in 2010, Camille filed for divorce citing the usual ‘irreconcilable differences.’ She also wanted to have primary custody of their two children, which became a bone of contention between them. Camille and Kelsey’s divorce came through in 2011, leaving Camille richer by nearly get roughly $30 million in the settlement.
Their divorce was messy with people taking opposing sides. Kelsey apparently, was on a downswing in his personal life when he met Camille; he was struggling with cocaine abuse and had even tipped his car over before finally going into rehab. Camille supporters say that he was broke at that time of their meeting because of his drug problem and some bad decisions and it was mainly due to Camille’s efforts that he could come out of that bad phase.
Kelsey obviously has a different take on his marriage! According to Kelsey, Camille wanted to be famous and to marry the image of his famous TV character ‘Frasier’ and as soon as she realized the reality, she wanted out from the marriage right from day one of their marriage. Kelsey said that Camille had even made threats in front of their children and indulged in extremely unacceptable behaviour.
According to Camille, she got to know about Kelsey’s romantic relationship with British flight attendant Kayte Walsh from a friend. She was in the middle of her TV shooting and had to text him to get him to answer her query. When he finally replied, he basically said that their marriage was over. According to Camille, Kelsey was unmoved and dismissive when she cried and pleaded with him to continue with their thirteen year old marriage; she had even offered to go for therapy for the sake of their marriage and children, but he was determined that he wanted to call it quits. Camille says that she felt abandoned and dismissed. She says that Kelsey no longer talks to her even about their co-parenting but communicates only through e-mail, lawyers or through her therapist.
Camille Grammer has since then moved on romantically and dated her fitness trainer and lawyer, Texan Dimitri Charalambopoulos. But, in 2013 she filed a domestic violence protective order against her boyfriend accusing him of assaulting her two days after her surgery for endometrial cancer.
Kelsey Grammer went on to marry his twenty-five years younger girlfriend, Kayte Walsh whom he had met when she was working as a flight attendant, barely two weeks after his divorce from Camille came through. They are now the happy parents of daughter, Faith.
Kelsey Grammer’s first marriage was in 1982 with dance instructor Doreen Alderman. They had daughter, Spencer Grammer, together. The couple divorced in 1990, though they had separated six years back. He then, had daughter, Kandace Greer Grammer with hair and make-up stylist Barried Buckner. Kelsey’s second marriage was in 1992, with exotic dancer Leigh-Anne Csuhany. Their marriage lasted just a year and he claimed that she was abusive and had even fired a gun at him. His next relationship was with Tammy Baliszewski, in 1994, which even turned into an engagement only to be cut short in 1995.
